Protective Industrial Products Appoints Tim Kane as National Account Manager

Apr 07, 2015 • PRESS RELEASES

Kurt Wanner, Vice President of National Accounts, is pleased to announce that Tim Kane will be joining his team as a National Account Manager.  Tim will be responsible for HD Supply, Staples and Airgas, three very large accounts with very specific and important needs. "Our approach to working with national accounts is team driven. We seek to connect key leads from our customers, to our counterparts on the PIP team. That's consultative team selling at its best," commented Kurt Wanner, when asked about PIP's success strategy. He went on to say: "We only win when our accounts are winning at their strategy."
Tim Kane joined PIP in 2007 shortly after graduating from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Tim started as a Territory Account Manager and was promoted to Business Development Specialist for the Northeast in 2010. In 2012, Tim took on the role of PPE Product Specialist and made his presence felt immediately by demonstrating outstanding sales acumen, with key accounts. This success earned Tim the "Product Specialist of the Year Award" for PIP in 2014.  A native of Latham, NY, Tim resides in Cooperstown, NY and will work out of the Latham Corporate Office.
PIP's National Account Team now covers over 20 accounts in five key channels.
