Cut protection gloves have undergone a wide array of changes over the years. Original cut protection goes back centuries when metal armor and chainmail were used for protection. This was an effective tool for protection but was extremely heavy, bulky and offered very little in the way of dexterity. Believe it or not, chainmail is still an option today when cut proof protection is required for jobs where blade contact is almost unavoidable. However, for most everyday tasks, cut resistance with formfitting dexterity and enhanced grip is the best option.

With this advanced technology G-Tek® 3GX™ is able to offer workers gloves that provide a higher level of cut protection without increasing the thickness of the glove. The G-Tek® 3GX™ 19-D318 is able to achieve an EN 3 level of cut protection, while still remaining an 18 gauge glove.
